【軟體簡介】

　　winrar 是一個功能強大的壓縮軟體，完整支援 rar 及 zip 檔案，也能解壓縮 7z, ace, arj, bz2, cab, gz, iso, jar, lzh, tar, uue, z等格式。winrar 的特色是能有效率的壓縮、分割壓縮檔、加密、支援自解檔模組及備份等。從這版開始，作者把編譯器從 boland c++ 轉換跑道到 visual c++ 2008，這樣對視窗有更好的相容性。

1. 推出 windows 64 位元專用 winrar 版本。如果您使用 windows x64，強烈建議您安裝 winrar 64 位元版。這比 32 位元版提供更高效能、更佳系統整合。

2. rar 壓縮速度在多核心及多 cpu 系統有長足進步。這個進步在 windows vista 及 windows 7 作業系統更為明顯。

3. [設定] / [壓縮] 對話方塊中的 [從解壓縮路徑移除重複資料夾] 選項改為比較通用的 [將解壓縮的路徑移除多餘的資料夾]。當您使用 [解壓縮至 destname\] 這類的快捷選單解壓縮時，此選項會根據解壓縮路徑加以判斷，如果最上層只有一個資料夾，沒有檔案，則視為多餘的資料夾而將此層加以省略。

4. [解壓縮路徑及選項] 對話方塊的改變：
a) [新增資料夾] 按鈕在選擇的資料夾之中建立新的子資料夾
b) f2 按鍵在資料夾樹中對選擇的資料夾重新命名
c) f5 按鍵更新樹型區域的內容
d) del 按鍵移除資料夾樹中選擇的資料夾

5. 如果您希望在 winrar 介面，也看到檔案日期的內容精細到秒，可以在 [設定] / [檔案清單] 對話方塊中啟用 [顯示秒數] 選項。

6. [設定] / [整合] / [內容選單項目] 對話方塊裡的 [檢查自解壓縮檔的目標] 讓您控制自解檔在內容選單的處理方式。例如：如果您常常在慢速網路的分享中對 "*exe" 按右鍵，您可以關閉 [網路磁碟] 選項，來減少緩慢回應的機會。

7. 如果您在 winrar 介面中對檔名排序，winrar 會使用新的邏輯檔名排序，就跟檔案總管一樣，也會考慮檔名裡面的數字排序。因此檔案會排成 1.txt, 2.txt, 10.txt 而不會變成以前的 1.txt, 10.txt, 2.txt。此新的排序邏輯應用於 windows xp service pack 2 及更新之版本。

8. ctrl+w 組合按鍵可以關閉 winrar 主視窗，以及 winrar 檢視器視窗。winrar 檢視器「以 windows 文字檢視」捷徑從 ctrl+w 改為 ctrl+i。

9. 新增指令開關 -r- 來完全停用遞迴。因此 'rar a -r- arc dirname' 指令只會加入空的 dirname 資料夾，忽略其中的內容。預設的情形下，如果 dirname 不包含萬用字元，rar 即使 -r 開關沒有指定也會加入其內容。

10. 新的指令開關 -ai 在解壓縮時會讓 rar 忽略檔案屬性。使用此開關，解壓縮出來的檔案會遵照作業系統預設該要賦予的屬性。

11. rar 的指令中如果輸出的檔名沒有利用 "cw" 規定，則會送資料至 stdout。

12. 使用 -si[名稱] 開關來壓縮 stdin 資料時，rar 會設定壓縮項目的修改時間為目前系統的時間。前版 rar 並沒有關照這一部分，以致於 stdin 得到無意義的修改時間。

13. 用滑鼠指向 winrar 工作圖示，包括壓縮檔名會顯示訊息。前版只會顯示壓縮操作剩下的時間以及完成百分比。

14. 新增 'shutdown' 變數於註冊基碼 'software\winrar\policy'，基於安全考量，允許能停用 [完成時關閉電腦] 選項。詳情請閱讀 [設定] / [登錄變數]。

15. 更佳的系統延伸效能。現在 rar 的內容功能表選單在一次處理上千個檔案時表現更傑出的效能。

16. 增強對高 dpi 視窗相容顯示模式。

17. 更正錯誤：
a) 如果壓縮檔包含檔案大於 8 gb 時，winrar 可能無法開啟 tar 或 tar.gz 壓縮檔
b) 在 windows 7 裡面，如果啟用內容選單顯示圖示功能，且在 windows 7 程式庫資料夾點選檔案時，內容選單顯示不正確
c) 前版 winrar 無法對檔名之中包含連續 5 個以上空格的檔名進行更名。winrar 為了安全的理由，不會在介面上顯示這類的檔名，因為可能惡意的隱藏真正的副檔名。不過此安全顧慮過去造成重新命名發生問題。
